KImmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme is an upcoming Filipino
comedy horror film directed by Ms Joyce Bernaland is a sequel to the Kimmy Dora
Film in 2009. This movies stars’ Ms. Eugene Domiingo and is expected to hit the
theatres on April 2011. And to be distributed by Spring Films and Star Cinema.
Kimmy and Dora are both identical twins. Kimmy is the smart,
dictatorial type while Dora is the slow, dumb-wit sister. However, they end up
close to each other and appreciated the love as sisters. The movie will centre
the birth of the twins. It was an arranged marriage for their father Don
Luisito Go Dong Hae played by Ariel Ureta to a Korean lady. But Go Dong Hae
refused and chooses Kimmy and Dora’s mother. In the present, an unexpected
ghost were surfacing the family, it was the Korean lady their father supposed
to be marrying. Now that she is dead, the twins need to travel all the way to
South Korea to quest for the tranquillity of their lives.
Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme is still produced by Mr.
Piolo Pascual, like the first part Kimmy Dora; Kambal sa Kiyeme. He reported
last January 2012 that he is working on producing more films on his own
production this year. The script of the film was originally submitted to the
2011 Metro Manila Film Festivalbut did not make it to the official list. In an
interview, Eugene Domingo said that actors Dingdong Dantes, Ariel Ureta, Miriam
Quiambao, will be reprising their roles. The film will also going to have more
cameo roles most especially from the kapamilya artists. Eugene somehow hinted
that Gretchen Barreto might have some cameo as she requested. Kimmy Dora also
was considered to be the first and Filipino movie to have lots of cameos from
Filipino arists like Christian Bautista, Marvin Agustine, Vhong Navarro, Aiza
Seguerra, Regine Velasquez, and etc.
Although started as an Independent Movie Star Cinema and
Spring Films has collaborated and going to bring Kimmy Dora and the Temple of
Kiyeme to the big screen again.
