Many netizens are already very excited upon getting a glimpse of this 2015 suspense-horror film on various social media platforms.
Veteran actor Roi Vinzon was thrilled when he first heard about the Maria Labo scare that has spread all over the country, especially in Visayas and Mindanao provinces. With the help of several investors, he decided to pursue filming the story as the director on board. What’s fascinating about this movie is its audacity to feature a newbie – who has no acting training and experience at all – for the lead role. Kate Brios, a businesswoman and a family friend of Roi Vinzon, was tapped to play the character of Maria Labo. She gladly accepted the offer and joined the rest of the powerhouse cast of the movie, including Sam Pinto, Baron Geisler, Mon Confiado, Rey PJ Abellana, and premiere action star Jestoni Alarcon.
The movie’s plot basically revolves around Maria Labo and tragic life that, for some reasons, took away her sanity and drove her to commit a heinous crime against her very own family. A lot of action and suspense-thriller scenes will be featured in this movie as well.
Showing on November 11 in theaters all over the country, “Maria Labo” is highly expected to get applauds and positive reviews from renowned film critics in the Philippines. This project might not be as extravagant as other previously released Pinoy horror films, but this movie will surely be making a lot of noise once it hits the big screens.
