What would you get when five women of different heart-broken stories get together in an isolated camp, specially intended for broken hearts and bitter souls? Obviously, it would mean a lot of tears, weeping scenes, and “hugot” lines that many Filipino ladies could related to. “Camp Sawi” is indeed something new in the mainstream since this movie’s plot is not a boy-meets-girl type of story, but instead, it is basically focused on how healing and moving on would take place after a tragic love story.
Surely, there is so much to be learned with this upcoming romantic drama film from Viva Films and M2 Productions. “Camp Sawi” features the story of five broken-hearted ladies, played by five of the most sought-after and most adorable leading ladies of this generation, Arci Muños, Yassi Pressman, Andi Eigenmann, Bela Padilla, and Kim Molina. These young actresses have already proved their acting prowess in their previous projects, such as the Star Cinema hit “Always Be My Maybe” for Arci, the ABS-CBN TV Series “Ang Probinsyano” for Bella, and Viva Cinema’s own masterpiece “Girlfriend For Hire” for Yassi. Meanwhile, there’s singer-stage actress Kim Molina who has been making big noise since she starred in the critically acclaimed stage play “Rak of Aegis”. And of course, people know that Andi Eigenmann has already shown so much of her versatility as an actress since she claimed the role of Agua and Bendita in the 2010 TV series “Agua Bendita”.
“Camp Sawi” was written and directed by Irene Villamor and it also stars one of Philippines’ finest hunk actors today, Sam Milby who will be playing the role of the Camp Master. Other big stars joining him and the said ladies are Tonton Gutierrez, Dennis Trillo, Bret Jackson, Jerald Napoles, AJ Muhlach, Cholo Barretto, Alex Medina, and Sarah Brakensiek.
