Lumayo Ka Nga Sa Akin

It’s a great way to start a year with an awesome all-out fun movie “Lumayo Ka Nga Sa Akin”. This is actually an adaptation of another Bob Ong masterpiece of the same title, a best-seller book released way back in 2011. Surely, all fans of this mysterious novelist would rush in to the nearest theaters with their friends to catch this wacky comic film to come to life in the big screens.

Just like the book version, the film is divided into three different stories wherein each has something to tell about the stereotypes and other things bashers can complain about the Pinoy movies and TV series. The first story, “Bala Sa Bala, Kamao Sa Kamao, Satsat Sa Satsat”, stars Benjie Paras and Candy Pangilinan and it is basically about the funny and annoying things one can find in the local action films, especially during the 90s era. Next to that is a parody to various typical Philippine horror scenes and it is entitled “Shake, Shaker, Shakest”, which stars Herbert Bautista and Maricel Soriano. Lastly, the third part of the movie is “Asawa Ni Marie” and this one laughs about the cheesy and ironic norms in the country’s TV drama series. Starring Antonette Taus, Jayson Gainza, Paolo Ballesteros, and Cristine Reyes, it also features some of the most annoying clichés in the confrontational scenes of many Philippine romance and drama.

“Lumayo Ka Nga Sa Akin” is finally out in all theaters nationwide on January 13, 2016. This is such great news to all avid Bob Ong fans who have waited for almost two years after it was announced that the said book would have a movie adaptation just like his novel “ABNKKBSNPLAko”. Surely, this awesome feel-good movie is worth the wait as Viva Films had invested so much to present this in the best way possible.
