Sin Island

Sin Island is a 2018 Erotic Thriller Starring Xian Lim, Coleen Garcia and Nathalie Hart. The film is directed by Gino M. Santos and is produced under Star Cinema. It premiered on February 14, 2018.

The film centres on married couple David (Xian Lim) and Kanika (Coleen Garcia). David a photographer whose blooming career was cut short due to a recent incident caught his wife having an affair with her co-worker (TJ Trinidad). Angry and hurt, David spends some time alone in Sinilaban Island (Sin Island) where he meets Tasha (Nathalie Hart) a fashion designer who was also recently in a disastrous relationship. Both Tasha and David are immediately attracted to each other and the two begin an affair. Kanika on the other hand follows David to the island to try and repair their relationship. She however finds herself in conflict with Tasha who is already in love with David.

Filming Sin Island took 8 months and production of this film has went through a lot of delays and problems. The film was in development as well a there was also problem in schedule. This film is also Nathalie Hart’s debut film as a lead actress, she has only appeared as minor characters on previous other films.

Sin Island doesn’t offer the usual cat fight between the wife and mistress. It also doesn’t offer the usual romance. This one is much more steamy, scandalous, thrilling and dangerous. Sin Island is the perfect movie for couples this valentines as it talks about love, second chances as well as to fight for your place in ones relationship.

Dear Other Self

Star Cinema releasing another romantic-comedy movie, Dear Other Self. The movie Jodi Sta. Maria, Xian Lim and Joseph Marco, under the direction of Veronica Velasco, the film will be released in cinemas on May 17, 2017.

A story of a woman named Becky (Jodi), caught in a life dilemma of staying at her work or pursuing her dream as a traveller. The movie will show two possibilities a person will consider in terms of life choices she will about to make. A choice where Becky can be financially stable, successful career woman and able to help her family alongside of meeting Chris (Joseph). Another choice, where she can pursue her passion in traveling and she will meet Henry (Xian). Which one will Becky choose? How will the movie end?

The movie will take you to a different perspective and life possibilities in a good and light way. A delight for those who wants to relax and laugh at the same time. I recommend this movie, as well for those who are an avid fan of the three main casts.

Everything About Her

Following their success on “Bride for Rent” the two will be offering their second movie this year which is “Past Tense”. Starring alongside Kim Chiu and Xian Lim is Ai-Ai Delas Alas. This would be the anniversary movie of Ai-Ai Delas Alas as she celebrates her 25th anniversary this year. The movie will be directed by no other than Mae Cruz-Alviar, the same director as “Bride for Rent”. “Past Tense” will be the last offer of Star Cinema for their anniversary and it will be their closing 20th anniversary movie.

What if time travel is possible? Will the present correct the big mistake of the past? “Past Tense is a story about a girl, which is Belle, who wakes up from a coma after 20 years and then she realizes that she is not happy in her present life. ‘Present’ Belle (Ai-Ai Delas Alas) will be given a chance to change everything. She will travel through time to correct the wrong decisions she had made from the past. ‘Past’ Belle (Kim Chiu) has a best friend that is named Bobby Tuazon a.k.a. Babs (Xian Lim). Babs is a really big guy and he has a very low self-confidence. He is the laughingstock of their school maybe because of his body figure. Babs is in love with her best friend Belle but she was rejected by Belle. Ugly and curly Kim Chiu is a playful and loud girl. She has a boyfriend who eventually broke her heart because she’s not that attractive. The Reunion

Another must watch movie to be release this year 2012 by Star Cinema is a romantic drama comedy entitled The Reunion. The film is directed by Frasco Mortiz and stars’ the most promising young actors of the generation Xian Lim, Enchong Dee, Kean Cipriano and Enrique Gil.

The movie revolves around a group of young men who are friends since high school. Several years later, they decided to meet once again. They have come to know that each other has a feeling of not moving on with their lives because of a wrong did way back high school. Now, they are in the journey of finding the true meaning of love and happiness as they reunite once again.

The Reunion movie also pays free tribute to OPM music. Meanwhile the four male leads says they were very excited about the movie, particularly because this is the first time they will be working with each other. Enchong Dee is very excited to work with Kean, as it is the first time he’ll work with an OPM artist. As for Kean in the same vein, he is very honoured to work with one of the brightest stars of the kapamilya network. Asked about their expectations for this project, they said, they just want to have fun and do a movie that the people would watch out for. And for their leading lady, Kim Chui andErich Gonzales has been on the list that they were asking.  But in a way, they also wanted to make a difference.  Direk Frasco said that they have already the choosen the names of the actresses that the people would love to be paired to Xian, Enchong, Enrique and Kean. According to some reports, Julia Montez, Jessy Mendiola, and Megan Young are on the final list.
